Blue man soap swirl

Here it is (LOL) I tried to update my blog on the ipad but it wouldnt let me add pics to it, and then I accidently posted it.

I loved the smell of this fragrance in the bottle, but not to sure about it in the soap, its very strong, hopefully the smell will fade after a while. I am loving the colours, not a perfect swirl but it was fun trying to do it.

I love how you can transform soap that you are not totally happy with into a funky looking soap. My daughter has named this soap "Rainbow Magic", there is about 6 different soaps in this, I have then added a strawberry fragrance so it's smells yummy, the kids will love the bright colours in this one

Can you believe I forgot my password to get on to my blog and write a post, how silly of me.

I have been soaping madly to catch up on soaps before the school holidays start, and below is two of them which I am happy with the end result.

This is one of the yummiest fragrances, I had to work fast with this one as the fragrance made my mix thicken up so quickly.

When I made this Rice Flower and Shea soap I didnt like the look of the colour but now that it is cut I am really loving the look of it and want to try to replicate the same soap.

School Holidays end this week, I have had fun with the kids and enjoyed the sleep ins but I really need to make soap to build up my stock levels they are very low.
Here is a couple of newies I made before the holidays.

Cranberry Pomegranate - Smells so yummmmmmy

This is my first rebatch with odds and ends and I love how rustic it turned out, I put the fragrance Honey Washed kids in it and its also another yummmmy soap. :)

And this is just a revamped Rustic Rose soap.

So the soaps have been in front of a fan now for 10 hours and I had to cut it, I think I am a happy little vegiemite, will see how they look after a week or so, I just hope now they dont get that white frosty look on top. I love the colours and they smell beautiful.

I couldnt resist last night after my soap had sat covered for about 9hours and didnt notice any gelling, I decided to get it out of the mold and cut it. I think I am glad there is only very slight veins you wont notice by the pic, but I think if I had left it, it may have gotten worse.

Tonight I have managed to make two soaps Lavender Swirl and a Rose soap with Australian red clay. I have done what Holly from sparklebrook did and put a fan on my bench not sure how long I will leave it on for.

OK Getting Frustrated

I have only managed to make two soaps on the school holidays, and cant say I was that happy with them, my Rhubarb Al Fresco thickened up so quickly and I have lots of horrible veins in it and my Oatmeal & Grapefruit Essential oil one has now got white frost on top, I know it is still fine to use both of these soaps but gee it is sooooo frustrating when a soap doesnt turn out.

I managed to get time to make a soap today had my two year old at family day care and my other two kids I took them to the park in the morning and then got home told them to watch cartoons and they didnt come in to my soap office (garage) once, I must of worn them both out. So anyway I made White Tea & Ginger soap tonight its covered up I bet it will have cracks in the morning mmmmmmm only time will tell.

I was reading on Sparklebrook blog (Holly) and she mentioned in a post she doesnt gell her soap and she soaps at room temperature, I used to do this a while back and I can remember why I stopped anyway if this batch I did today is terrible I think I will try what Holly does again.

I dont know what it is that makes me so addicted to soap making but I am so glad I am making them the excitement that builds up when you are ready to cut into a new soap, (and then to be let down occasionaly) The fact that we can make such beautiful skin loving products for our skin is wonderful.

As usual I have been so busy, my hubby and I bought a business and I am doing all the accounts, payroll book keeping stuff from home. I still manage to make soap here and there, I am still addicted to it I just wish there was more time in a day haha.
I have actually made a batch tonight dont have any photos yet but thinking of calling it strawberry kisses. Thats of course if it turns out nice once I cut it, I get a bit frustrated sometimes when I make a batch and it doesnt turn out the way I think it will, it just puts me off soap making.
Anyway here is a couple of pics for you.

I cant believe we are in August already and I havent done a post since April. I thought I better update and put a new post on as my sister has just designed this great new banner for me and should do a little plug for her, she is very talented isnt she as you can tell by my blog. Click on Paula to go to her blog and chech out some of her amazing work.

I have been a busy busy girl, my husband and I have just bought a business and I am now doing all the booking keeping (wages, super etc..) at home in between school, kinder, creche pick ups and drop offs and after school activities so as you can imagine I havent had a great deal of time to be making soaps. However I did make my first batch of Bay Rum for men Soap last night not sure of the smell but hey I am no man am I haha, I have not taken a photo of it yet so when I do I will post it up. I also made another batch of soap not sure what I am going to call it but it has orange essential oil and a small amount of vanilla frangrance in it, I think I may like this one, silly me forgot to put all my liners in the mould I used and now cant get it out, I will attempt it in a couple of days and hopefully get a pic up for you.

I have been so busy lately I wish there was more hours in the day. I did however mangage to find time to make a couple of batches of soap.

This is my first batch of Coconut Soap and I just love the way it has turned out it has just a light fragrant of coconut and looks so creamy.

Mimosa & Mandarin Soap oh this is so zesty and fresh I love it, this is a hot process soap.
Monkey Farts - Ha ha this is a great soap everyone has a laugh about it but it does smell great it has a choc banana frangrance.

It has been a while once again, I cant believe we are halfway through Feb, its my spunky boys birthday this Tuesday so I havent been doing much soap making, just been trying to keep the house clean for his little party with kinder friends.

I am looking forward to my next batch of soap, I have some ideas and cant wait.

I love the way the pattern turned out in this soap, Pomelo & Grapefruit.

Well I have to say this smells very yummy, its made with strawberrie fragrance and goats milk curls to pretty it up.

Lemon Verbena - this is a Hot Process Soap, I had lots of fun making this, and it smells lovely another favourite.

How pretty are all the colours in this soap, this one reminds me of fruit loops and has a yummy sweet smell to it, kids will love washing themselves in this. This will be available Jan 2010.

I am soooo happy with myself at the moment i made to batches of soaps last night and they look perfect and smell OMG delicious, if they could invent computers that we could smell a picture then you would understand what I mean. This picture below is of the Coconut Lime Soap I made and it is so refreshing and yummy, if only we could eat soap ha ha.

What a Wonderful Weekend

Firstly I want to thank Yvonne Campbell once again, she is the wonderful person that organised our craft weekend, and if it wasnt for her I would not have met a lot of the people that I now know.

I am so tired right now and should go to bed, but I badly need to update my blog.
I have had yet again another fantastic weekend away with my stamping friends and loved every minute of it. We had a lot of good laughs, yummy food, drank nice wine, made lots of beautiful things (which I will show you when I take a few pics) got some great bargains thanks to Kristy for Auctioning her stamps sets/papers/markers and had very little sleep. I havent named this one yet but it has a rassberry smell to it doesnt it look pretty.

Its been way to long

I cant believe 4 weeks have past and I havent updated or shown you any cards, I have been so busy socialising, having card classes and my hubby and I finally had a weekend to ourselves in Melbourne for two nights without the kids which was lovely, I do adore my kids but it is also nice to have time on your own to refresh yourself dont you think.

I have been making and creating lots of cards so I will post a few pics to show you now I hope you like them.

This is a note pad I have made a cover and placed it on top just to pretty it up I used this as a door prize at one of my card classes the laddies loved it.

I was just playing around with this stamp set Eastern Blooms it is one of my many favourite stamp sets.

This card was made with the Wild About You Stamp set, this is one of my most used stamp sets its great for birthday cards boys/girls and baby cards.

This baby card I did in a card class it was a lot of work sticking it all together but I think it is adoreable this design was inspired by a card that Marelle Taylor did as a swap this year and I just had to make one similar.

This pack is actually one of the scrappin packs from our Stampin Up Catalogue it just shows you dont have to just use it for scrap booking, and I still have lots of stuff left in in they are really great value.

My Neighbour was wanting a card for her Fathers 70th Birthday and asked me to make a card for her, I mentioned to her I dont like making male cards they never seem to turn out nice for me, but I must say I did like the end result of this card the papers I have used are from the Windsor Not DSP

Its about time I dusted these cute little Magnolia's. I absolutely love colouring these adoreable girls in I just feel I havent had the time, and you know its just been crazy with the school holidays with three kids at home. I have used the colours Choc Chip, Old Olive, Not Quite Navy and Very Vanilla in this card as these are the colours Keesh has for her colour challenge go check her blog out here. I have also entered the MDUC 23 and the card for this challenge must have a button on it, I love buttons on cards half the time I dont know where to put them though.

Oh I just love sketch challenges they are so much fun although I dont feel like I get much time lately to do Challenges as I feel like I am always preparing for a class, I have had classes weekly for the last couple of weeks and its been wonderful but gee it puts the pressure on to design things. Anyway this is a Sketch Challenge at Keesh Blog to go to her blog click here, I have traced around kids bowl to get the oval shape and used the Stampin Up stamp set 'Great Friends'. I set myself a challenge today to make a card using only the basics as when new customers come a long they dont usually have much in the way of craft stuff so anyway here is my card and if you are interested why not join me in a little challenge.

Design a card using Wild About You SU stamp set

The criteria is as follows:
Stamps that may be used

I would like to say a big thank you to Yvonne Campbell for organising the stamp camp that I went on over the weekend. I have had a wonderful time, met some fantastic and very talented people who I have had so much fun stamping, drinking, laughing, chatting and singing with. Sweet Always

On Friday I went to a friends house and we had a lovely chit chat and when I said I was going to head home she told me to leave the eldest two kids with her they are 6years and 4 years, when I got home I felt a bit lost not having them around as my little baby 10month old went to bed, so anyway this is what I created.

I made this with the Stampin Up DS paper "Sweet Always" I thought it was appropriate for the photos because the two girls in the photo are very sweet, Hollee is 5 years old and Sandra the elderest one in the photo is my 11 year old niece who would be 12 now she passed away on the 24th April it was a very horrible day for us all she was hit by a car when crossing a road not far from her house it was a complet shock to us all and still is. Sandra was always a Sweet beautiful girl when ever she was around the kids adored her so much and she was great with the younger kids.
Oh also Keep a lookout on my blog as I am going to organise a scrap and chat night in August there will be only 8 places available.

A Sad Couple of Months

Well here I am yes I am back I have been so busy, if you have been on my two sisters blogs Paula and Kristy you will see that we have had a terrible couple of months/years with our mum passing away and now our dad on top of that my eleven year old niece was on her way home from the park and hit by a car and died it has been an absolutely shocking month, now my poor little girl who is five just wants to be with me she keeps telling me she doesnt want me to die, so we are doing our best to deal with her emotions. Talk about dramas that is what my life is full of at the moment I had to call 000 last week my 9 month old turned blue in the face she chocked on some bread I got it out but my god I was so so scared.

I am really looking forward to focusing on something positive such as conducting classes and have some fun with friends, I had my first class on Thursday and silly me forgot to take a pic of my first class, I had five lovely ladies make 5 cards each and they all seemed to enjoy it I even have some booked in for next weeks class I am so excited about it, I will try to remember to take some pics and upload them as soon as possible.

Well this has just come from the top of my head I quite like it, what do you think?
I have decorated 6 sheets of paper, 4 envelopes and made 4 cards which are all co-ordinating they are all displayed in a clear acetate box bag thing that I have created.
Its my friends 40th a couple of weeks ago and she has said no presants but I thought it should be ok just to make something little and I was going to make a voucher to come to a class to put in the bag but just didnt get time to do it.

Oh Wow Oh Wow, yep my kit has arrived I am so excited and just have no idea where to begin, do I do this or may be that nah I think I will start here, I am lost in all my wonderful SU supplies and here I am on the computer when I should be designing.
Oh I am going to attempt a scrapbook page I would really like to get page done so I can show to people at my first class which is only a couple of weeks away, and then they may do a scrapbook class with me.

I have been a Demo for over 12 months now and absolutly love it, I have made so many new friends and as a demonstrator we have an unlimited source of ideas and tips to help us suceed. Plus the chance to attend events such as Convention and regionals as well as have stands at craft fairs.

My little sister Susannah was a bit sneaky and gained access to my blog and posted some pictures that I probably wouldn't have posted myself so it's time for SWEET REVENGE!!

The only problem is I'm on her computer, and I'm sure I have some really good pics on my computer at home that I could put up but I will see what I can find.

Ha what a find! She took this photo in reponse to some silly ones that I sent her of me.
You see our little sister Kristy takes photos of herself all the time and has been doing it for so long that she has perfected taking her own photo, to the point that she has her head tilted on a special angle and it works. If she takes her own photo on the right angle it looks good so Susannah and I have been trying to practice and the results have made us laugh...which at the moment we need a good laugh.

I thought I'd better put one of me being silly as well so she cant complain!

And here is our perfect little sister Kristy!

A Friend of ours Just had a baby girl and they named her Shelby and below is a card I whipped up for them using the pricless SU stamp set I have rocken rolled the buttlerflies and added a little bling to it. The paper I have used is an old DS paper From Stampin Up.

I am back from the beach

Hi guys, sorry been busy having a little family holiday with my hubby and kids, this is the first time I have been away with three kids wow the car was jam packed full. We headed off to the beach for a couple of days and the weather was great the day we arrived but that first night I was up a lot with my little baby Imogen she wasnt feeling too good, and then Hollee my 5 year old woke up at 6am crying she was scared of the rain and wind and I dont blame her it was very noisy. Wednesday morning it was raining a lot and very windy so we went for a drive to stock up on pencils, colouring books, toys, demazin, plugin wall vapour thing, the good old snott sucker (fess) and baby vicks, so much for having a cheap weekend away. I was kind of glad it did rain on Wednesday as I got to have a 2hr nanna nap you gotta love a nanna nap I sure do.

Thursday we decided to take the kids to the beach in the morning as they were desperate to go the poor little buggers wanted to go straight back to the caravan it was too cold again, we then headed for mini golf and they loved it. It was great to take time out with the family and getaway from phone calls, internet, house work all that usual stuff and just chill with my family.

MDUC is on to the 6th Challenge and it is (a baby is born) I dont have the baby magnolia but came across this little pony which is sooooooooooo cute, I love this card very much and I cant wait to give it to a friend that is having a baby well actually I have 5 people I know having babies so surely one of them will have a boy.

Wow this is a record for me I have never done this many post's in a day and I have still played the wii with the kids, fed and bathed them, I wish every Sunday was like this.
These cards below are just a few quikies I made with the Wild About You and i cant remember the name of the other set but it was my very first set so it has been good getting them out and yet again I have used my favourite colours certainly celery, choc chip, perfect plum.

I forgot to mention It was my birthday yesterday and i was spoilt by my lovely husband he had my sister ask me for a wish list of stampin up stuff and i thought she was going to choose one item on my list to suprise me however my husband got me everything on my list, so while he is at work today all i plan to do is feed kids and make cards. Gosh now I need to make a new wish list ha ha.

Bling Bling Bling

Yep thats what this challenge is all about at MDU 'Bling It On'. I have used Perfect Plum and Certainly Celery throughout this card, and dazzling diamonds on the large circles, tildas wings and the bow on her head, I have found it very hard to photograph this card so hopefully you will notice the bling. Oh and I also used small rhinestones. Thanks DT Girls @ MDU I have had fun yet again.

How exciting I got my mail today and in it was my Sarah Kay Stamps I ordered, they are so adoreable, now all I need is my SU markers (pastels and earth elements) from my sister Kristy these are a birthday presant from my dad, yep its my birthday this saturday and I have no idea what I am going to do maybe I will go see a movie. Yep here it is already, I was lucky enough to see this challenge posted early by mistake so I made this a couple of nights ago and thought I would up load it now. Dont you just love the Tilda holding that daisy I have put a large black brad in to hold it to the card. With all the ribbons I have in my ribbon tub do you think I had a yellow ribbon NOPE so I just went and got one especially for this challenge and I love it. I hope you like it.

Well this one took a bit of thought the challenge is Magnolia Down Under which you can view here the challenge for this one was to use 5 ribbons and a tilda, I have so many ribbons and never seem to use them so I pulled them all out, 5 ribbons is a lot of ribbons for one card but I did manage to do it, the flowers in Tilda's hair is ribbon aswell. Here are two cards that I made last night it only took me 3 hours to make them, I hope my niece Paige likes hers she has just turned 13 and the poor girl had to spend it in hospital she had a burst apendix I really hope she gets out soon. The other card is ready for when one of our many friends that are pregnant have a baby.

Oopsy I forgot to mention my sister Paula gave me this idea for the card when she did a patch work card thanks sis love ya heaps.

I just cant help myself at the moment I am addicted to making crafty things. I have made another card pack with four cards that are identical and matching envelopes they are made with the stamp set Embrace Life which you can purchase from Kristy from Stampin Up. I also decided to decorate a candle this time and I just love it so much cant wait until friday night when I pass it to someone in my mothersgroup as a presant. The papers I have used are all from Stampin Up they are River Rock, Ruby Red, Very Vanilla, I cant think what the patterned paper is called but it is also Stampin Up. I cased this card pack set from Keesh blog. Anyway hope you like it as much as I do.

Well Keesh I just love black and white there is so many things you can do with these two colours, when I checked out your blog with the new challenge I just stopped everything and I mean everything my icecream had melted by the time I got back to it lucky it was in a bowl and it still tasted good. The other night I was doing my usual thing blogging away and came across this project on Keesha's blog u can view it here. Its a wonderful gift idea I put four cards and matching envelopes in the card holder and gave it to my girlfriends mum today she just loved it so of course I was pleased so now I must make another one for this friday as I have to have a presant for a Kris Kringle. Make sure you check out Keesha's blog I most definately cant take the credit for this project and I will be making some more of these. I took the photos on my phone today when I was at the park so I hope they turn out ok.

Its been a while since I participated in Kristina Werner Challenge so I thought I should give it a go. Had fun playing around with this one hope you like it oh and yes its not riding hood red its ruby red didnt have that colour.

A Few people have commented on how did I make this card so I thought I would explain below

I used silver foil paper and embossed it in my cuddlebug machine with the snowflakes embossing folder then I used one of the circles from the spellbinders nestabilities and cut the circle out and placed double sided tape on the foil paper to mount it. I think this photo makes the ball look like it is mounted out but in actual fact it is flat on the paper. I hope this has helped those that were interested.

Big Bold Birthday Stamp Set

What a busy day I had yesterday between cooking the most yummiest Lasagne and baking for the kids, feeding my 13 week old baby, and I still managed to get a couple of cards made. My hubby didnt get home til late last night but he loved the Lasagne and wants me to make it again, I loved it too because both the kids ate it aswell so it was a sure winner.Anyway the cards I made were from the Stampin Up Stamps Big Bold Birthday and Petal Prints, my sister Kristy borrowed both these to me so I could have a play. The card made with the flowers was cased from a class I did with Kerri Hunter with a few changes though. Hope you like them.

Well it has been a while since I made a card and while my three beautiful children were sound asleep last night I made this card which only took me about 3 hours to make and I am not sure that I even like it. I dont know that the Sahara Sand Card stock does it justice any suggestions.

My New Little Angel

Well it has been a very long time since I made a card infact the 24th August was the last time. I had some friends over the day before I had my little girl (Imogen) and we made lots of cards. I loved the company and they loved making the cards and using my craft stuff.

My Sister's have arranged a day out in Daylesford this weekend with some friends of mine as a celebration for the arrival of my third baby in about 4 weeks. We will be going and having brunch and then followed by a High Tea at 2pm. My sisters and I have always wanted to go to a High Tea and we are finally doing it. I have decided to make these little candy boxes to give to everyone that was able to come for the day as a little thank you. I think they are going to love them they are very cute.
